CHARLIE ZETTERSTROM (ELDER)


Who are the special people/person in your life? 

My son Scott and his wife Jen and their children, Christian, Sam and Gabe; my son Andrew and his wife Seongyeong and their children Yuna and Noah; and my daughter Heather and her husband Abishai.

What do you like about serving at Grace Church? 

Using my gifts in a Biblically sound church where the concern for those who have not yet come to faith is never an afterthought

What are the top 3 songs on your iPod/Music player? 

Being a high school music teacher-choosing 3 is impossible, but lately Sidewalk Prophets, For King and Country and Broadway Musicals I can sing along to.

What is something most people don't know about you? 

I was on the jelly beaner TV show in New York when I was 4. I am on the cover of an accordion album, although I have never played the accordion. I wrote a book about my wife’s struggle with cancer.

What are you reading right now?

I read 4-5 books each month-constantly changes.

What place would you like to visit before THE END...and why?

Austria-where my grandparents came from and finding the street where my grandmother grew up in Mt. Olive

Best Meal/Drink Ever? 

A duck and egg breakfast sandwich made for me in South Korea.

What's something God's teaching you lately? 

God works not because of what I do, but because of Who He is.

What excites and gets you dancing?

My grandchildren; Seeing folks I know and have prayed for become believers in Jesus.

Favorite movie, and why? 

2 scenes from movies-the Twist and Shout parade scene from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off-makes me smile every time and the last scene in Titanic-reminds me of heaven when I will see my wife, Peggy, again.
