MEET SHERRIE McDONALD - VIDEO - Director of Women's Ministries

From Sherrie's Desk:

"My heart’s desire as the Women’s Ministries Director at Grace Church is to develop godly women who are seeking to live out God’s Word in such a way that it affects their daily actions, reactions and relationships. It is only through the study and application of God’s Word to our lives that we will become the women He has created us to be. We are offering a wide range of opportunities for you to be involved in a Bible study (CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF SMALL GROUPS which are listed in the monthly newsletter). It is our prayer that as you read through the brochure, you will find a study that fits your schedule. Let’s join together to get to know “Jesus, our God and Lord, better and better” (2 Peter 1:2 NLT), so that we can transform our personal lives and our relationships with others." \

**** BIBLE STUDIES ****

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY - 9:20 A.M. TO 11:20 A.M., YOUTH ROOM STARTING APRIL 1, 2014

"Jonah" - Navigating a Life Interrupted

What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this 7-session Bible study, Priscilla Shirer redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. Come find out what God's invitation is for you. Child care provided. Sign up in the lobby. Cost $15 for participant book. For more information contact Sherrie at sherrie@grace4families.com.

TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY - 6:30 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M., ROOM 204 (Grace Cafe)

"The Storm Inside"

The chaos of life can be overwhelming, and women get a heavier dose than most. Each day comes with its own pressures, heartaches, and disappointments that slowly erode the joy, peace, and closeness to God every woman needs. Chaos always feels like the enemy as it rages around us and inside us. But there is hope! In The Storm Inside, you will find strength in the most profound truths-that you are always a child of God no matter how you feel. This simple teaching will be the difference between a life of joy and one of despair. Shelia Walsh powerfully reminds us that God offers no guarantee of a life without storms, but he does provide the strength and grace to make it through them. Sign up in the lobby or contact Nancy Ramella at nancella347@yahoo.com. Cost: To be determined. Childcare not provided.

TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY - 6:30 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M., ROOM 100 STARTING APRIL 22, 2014

"Stepping Up" - A journey through the Psalms of Ascent

This exciting Beth Moore study explores Psalms 120-134. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how we can voice our own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Explore the major feasts of Israel and journey with Beth through this 7-session study. Themes of unity, joy, gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. Sign up in the lobby or contact Carrie Kraus at ckraus01@optonline.net. Cost: $10. Childcare not provided.

THURSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY - 7:00 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M., ROOM 204 (Grace Cafe)

"The Resolution for Women"

Priscilla Shirer’s The Resolution for Women challenges all women to be intentional about embracing and thriving in God’s beautiful and eternal calling.

Priscilla explains how today’s women can and should live out their own resolution. It is a “defining banner that hangs over your life, written in the ink of your own choices.” A woman’s banner should be an accurate reflection of who she desires to be—someone completely Christ-centered who blesses and changes things in her world for the better. The Resolution for Women inspires women with intentional, spirit-filled living from three unique angles.

  • Section one, “This Is Who I Am,” helps a woman define herself as “authentically me, purposefully feminine, surprisingly satisfied, and faithfully His.”
  • Section two, “This Is What I Have,” invites her to value “my best, my blessing, my honor, and my heart.”
  • Section three, “This Is What Matters to Me,” focuses on joyfully honoring God as a wife, mother, and family member while resolving to live with the grace that leaves a godly legacy.
  • The Resolution for Women is designed to inspire a revolution. Sign up in the lobby or contact Susie Arnold at susieq10@optonline.net for more information. Cost $10 for participant book.

    JOY FELLOWSHIP

    "Cultivating Contentment"

Joy Fellowship meets the second Saturday of each month, 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.

Life can be so hard, so frustrating, and so daily! Women face disappointments, disarray, downfalls, delays, drawbacks, and doldrums. It's unavoidable. Contentment doesn't come naturally, and it isn't learned quickly. But it can be learned. Come, and allow God to cultivate a heart of contentment in you.

For more information contact sherrie@grace4families.com. Book cost: $10
