VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED, 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the Month, 9:00—11:45 AM

Do you have extra time on your hands?  Do you like children?  Are you passionate about helping moms with young children hear the Word of God and be exposed to the love of Jesus here at Grace?  Our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) ministry needs you.  MOPS meets two Wednesday mornings a month and we need your help to watch their precious “MOPPETS” while the moms attend the meetings from about 9:00—11:45 a.m.  MOPS International encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and inpartnership with the local church.  Without your help, these lovely women miss the opportunity to be a part of this vital ministry.  If you would like to be a part of it, please contact Mary Lou at gracemopsleadership@gmail.com or 973-626-4674.

MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers)

MOPS exists to encourage and equip every mother of a preschooler to realize her potential as a woman and mother in the name of Jesus Christ.  Meetings are the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 9:30-11:30 A.M., in the Youth Room, from September through May.   (Childcare and breakfast provided).

Contact Jill Lengen at gracemopsleadership@gmail.com for more information about our program.  Childcare and breakfast provided.

We are also in need of children’s workers to care for these preschoolers while the moms are meeting.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Jill Lengen at gracemopsleadership@gmail.com.

SPECIAL events

  • SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 12:00 P.M., ROOM 100 - LUNCH & LEARN  (MEN are invited too!)  Welcome to a new series for the Women of Grace, LUNCH & LEARN.  An opportunity to gather and learn something new while enjoying food and conversation.  For our first meeting, SFC Chris Kay, Cyber Liaison Officer with the New Jersey State Police (and member of Grace) will be with us to talk about cyber security - password creation and strength, how to protect ourselves online and other great tips.  A very timely presentation.  You can never be too careful!  Bring your own lunch and get ready to learn.  Sign up in the lobby or contact Jill McLean at jill@grace4families.com or 973-347-0667 ext. 15.
  • SATURDAY, JULY 8, 9:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M., YOUTH ROOM -  IN-HOUSE FIELD TRIP ON THE ART OF ORIGAMI                                                                                                                                                                          Origami, the art of paper folding, is a fun, educational and challenging activity that turns paper into a work of art.   A piece of paper is so simple.  Yet with this gentle activity, everyone has the power to create something beautiful.  Some say that doing origami is good for the mind.  Sharing origami can bring people together-- the generations in a family, people in a class.  Fold and give a model to a stranger and see them smile.  On Saturday, July 8, Women’s Ministries is hosting an in-house Field Trip on the art of Origami.  Join us as Deanna Kwan of Paper Shapers demonstrates and teaches us this art as we experience a little “peace with paper.”   Event is FREE, but limited to 40 women.  Sign up in the church lobby on Sundays through June 25.  Questions?  Contact Jill McLean at jill@grace4families.com or 973-347-0667, ext. 15.
